A Rejuvenating 5-day Body Detox Plan to Keep You Going

In the present condition, you can no longer survive a single day without encountering pollution. At work, you may not at all be so sure of the cleanliness of the water you drink or of the food you eat. When dealing with people, you can hardly get away from air pollution, be it from smokers, all sorts of sprays or from the exhaust of vehicles. This greatly affects the health in one way or another. Don’t be so sure that when your body does not visibly react, it’s alright.

For these reasons, detoxification is necessary to keep a healthy body which also results to healthy mind and healthy relationship with people.

Our body has its own means of healing and detoxifying. However, when pollutants that enter our body had been accumulated more than the capacity of self-cleansing, we are giving our inside mechanisms a hard time. Then the tissues are stressed and therefore lead to malfunction. And because they are weakened, the cleansing process is also affected.

We want a clean body. But we also need to help our system in regulating the body processes. However, you should not wait for your body organs to be stressed out and overworked before doing something. In times when the body lacks the command to keep the systems working, the person must supplement. The 5-day detox plan will do a great help in keeping the body systems at work. The 5-day detox plan will rejuvenate the body as well as the spirit, keeping it clean and toned.

Detoxification diet is a part of the 5-day detox plan. During the period of detoxification, certain foods are avoided. Your meals consist mostly of fresh fruits and green, leafy vegetables. Fats, oil, preservatives, and food additives are a big no when undergoing the process of detoxification. Also, meat should be kept off because they are hard to digest. For a day or two, eating meat in any form is dropped off from the diet.

Ideal foods that can be part of your diet are as follow: garlic, broccoli, beets, and beans or nuts. Only fresh fruit extracts can be taken as beverages except for grapefruit. And since water is a universal solvent, six to eight glasses of this should be recommended daily. Water is also a major factor in the detoxification process. It flushes out the toxins in the forms of perspiration, urine, or stool.

Although you seem to eat less when detoxifying, you are assured that you will not starve, and ironically, you will even boost your stamina. It is because your intake is limited only to foods which are healthy and are good to the digestive system.

Detoxification plan should be done at least quarterly. To ensure that you get an efficient one, it will be best to consult a nutritionist or a professional. You should also seek for a doctor’s advice to ensure that what you will do is a detoxification and not addition of toxins to your body.

Through the process of detoxification, the toxins are flushed out in your body and a new set of energy is supplied to the body providing you both physical and mental alertness.

Cleanliness should be maintained not only in the outside, but more so in the inside.

Finding Time for Self Care

What is Self-Care?

Self-care is anything that helps your mind, body, and soul. It can be one of the following but includes so much more:

  1. Get a good night’s sleep
  2. Eat nutritional meals
  3. Feeding your soul spiritually
  4. Get exercise
  5. Process how you feel and sharing those feelings with others
  6. Spend time with family and friends
  7. Spend time alone
  8. Do something fun
  9. Journal, Meditate, Collect your thoughts
  10. Do anything that makes you happy and lifts your mood

What is not self-care?

  1. Self-care is not forced upon us
  2. Self-care is not being selfless and doing things for others when we need time for ourselves
  3. Self- care is not spending a lot of money

Self-Care is the key to living a balanced life. So, how do we make time for Self- Care?

  1. Make a choice in what we want our self-care to look like. Is it a day at the spa or reading a book? Start small with an activity that lasts 5 minutes a day and add to it.
  2. Saying no to things when we do not want to do them. Not feeling obligated to anyone but ourselves.
  3. Make a schedule. I schedule everything I do. Everything! Even my breaks etc. Use Outlook, Fitbit, or something that will make noise and remind you to do things. Put what you want on the schedule first. Of course, work is there, but put your naps or your quiet time; your walk or bath time. Time to spend in your special place.
  4. Create a routine. Once you know your routine then you won’t rush and stress yourself. And keep to it.
  5. Elicit support. Ask a friend to go with you to the gym. Ask a family member to watch the kids for an hour. Plan your day to do something for you BEFORE they get home from school or day care. Errands do not always have to be done before the kids get home.
  6. Make life easier. Use store pickup or delivery. Meal prep for the week. Get your family on a schedule.

3 Reasons Why You Should Feed Your Baby Organic Baby Food

Are you a new parent?  If you are, you may be looking for safe and healthy foods to feed your baby.  When doing so, you will find that you have a small number of options.  Unfortunately, many baby foods currently on the market cannot be considered completely natural.  If this causes you concern, you may want to take the time to examine organic baby food.

As nice as it is to hear that organic baby food is safe and healthy to feed your baby, you may be looking for reasons why you should do so.  After all organic food is known for its increased prices.  There are many first-time parents who wonder if the cost is truly worth it.  After a close examination, you will see that it is.  In fact, there are at least three reasons why you should feed your new baby organic baby food.

1 – Organic Baby Food Is Healthy

The health reasons are just one of the many reasons why organic baby food is ideal for babies.  As previously stated, many food products designed for babies cannot be considered completely natural.  This is because many companies add in unhealthy sugars and other additives.  This is not the case with organic foods.

Although there is no scientific proof, there are many individuals, including parents, who claim that organic food can help to improve a child’s health, as well as their behavior now and in the long run.  Despite the lack of scientific proof, many parents are not willing to take the chance.  Another impact has to do with recalls.  Whether it be recalls on toys, food, or clothing, parents are concerned with companies following all government restrictions to the letter.  Many wonders if a toy manufacturer can put too much led in a toy, can too many chemicals make their way into baby food?

2 – The Options that You Have

Another one of the many reasons why all parents should consider feeding their babies organic baby food is because of the options that they have, in terms of flavors.  Unfortunately, many parents mistakenly believe that choosing organic foods limits the number of foods their children will be able to consume.  Yes, this is true in some cases, but you may be surprised how many flavors and different variety food are available for babies and other small children.

As an example of having an option, in terms of organic baby food, Earth’s Best Organic is a well-known supplier and product manufacturer of organic foods for families.  In terms of their jarred baby food, which is ideal for infants, they have flavors that include apples, carrots, bananas, peas, sweet potatoes, and pears.  It is also important to mention that these flavors are only for jarred baby food.  Organic formula, rice cereals, and other snacks can be made organically as well.

3 – You Can Make Your Own Organic Baby Food

As previously stated, organic baby food does cost more than traditional foods.  This is due in part to the extra steps that must be taken to ensure that all foods are organic, including certification.  Although many grocery stores and organic food stores, both on and offline, offer sales and discounts, the costs may still be too much for many parents.  If it is for you, you can still feed your baby organic baby food by making your own.  In fact, you may be surprised just how easy it is to do so.  All you need to do is find homemade baby food recipes and make sure that you use organic fruits and vegetables.

As you can see, there are several reasons, three of which were outlined above, why organic food is great for babies.  If you are concerned with your child, their health, and the ingredients found in many common foods, organic baby food should be examined.  In addition to jarred baby food, there are also companies that sell organic food that is designed for toddlers.
